Eliminations started, Wednesday February 15th, 2012 . There may not be time to do any warm-ups because each contestant will have to sing 2 songs. Therefore, we will start eliminations promptly without warm-ups. Remember the audience gets to vote for their favorite singer and each vote counts as 2 points, which will be added to the judges, score for that contestant. Tonight you can sing 2 songs of your choice. Below is a chart with the required song genres

We have $1,000.00 in prizes and here is the breakdown 1st Overall is $500

1st in Judges Score is $300

2nd Overall is $200.

We now have 18 finalists and next week, February 15th 2012 we will start eliminating 2 singers per week.

The juges will give the contestants a numerical  score in the following categories:

Vocal Ability                                           15

Stage presence & charisma              10

Appearance                                                5

Audience Participation                     20

Therefore, each participant can earn a max of 50 points per song. Then the audience also gets to vote for their favorite singer.

Each Audience member gets 1 vote per night. Each vote will add 2 points to the judges score.

Example John smith has a Judges score of 40 for his first song and 50 for his second song for a total of 90 points from the judges.  He also has 20 audience votes,

which will add 40 points to the judges score so John Smith’s total score is 120.
